Budapest 1907 or 2007?

I prefer the effect of black and white photograph since there less distraction, there is more emphasis on light and more simplicity in terms of imagery.

Black & white photography evokes a feeling of the past in a more intense manner.

A Memorable Quote

"when one door closes another opens,
but we often look so long regretfully on the closed door
that we do not see the ones which open for us"

Bryan Adams Anthology Tour

Oh - once in your life you find someone
Who will turn your world around
Bring you up when you're feelin' down
Ya-nothin' could change what you mean to me
Oh there's lots that I could say
But just hold me now
Cause our love will light the way

No specific message is to be found with the above excerpt, except that this song brings happy memories, which were relived during Bryan Adams' concert in Malta, last week (28th June 2007)

My friend Marco & I just before the start of the concert :)

What a far cry from the disappointing atmosphere created by Sting in the same place in the previous year - Bryan Adams managed to create a fantastic vibe, great song selection and fantastic interaction with the audience!

Ana Mandara

The words translate into Beautiful Refuge, specifically one described in a 700 year old Vietnamese story as the tropical sanctuary enjoyed by a courageous warrior and a princess whose love for each other caused them to be shunned by their family and peers. Of great solace to them was the culinary bounty of the land and sea that was to be found in Ana Mandara……

In the Ana Mandara legend the ill fated lovers travel in secret in the lush coast of South Vietnam and find an abundance of sea food, bamboo and sweet mangoes to feast on.

It’s no wonder that Miami Vice actor Don Johnson opted for the name Ana Mandara when opening a Vietnamese restaurant in San Francisco – I went to this restaurant in 2002 during my visit to San Francisco and the experience was just fantastic.

So much so that I named my flat in Xemxija Ana Mandara – mainly because it provides me with solace and comfort by just looking at the views of Wardija hills and Simar Nature Reserve.

…..and people haven’t complained about my culinary skills either :)
