Vodafone Employee Hero - Nominee & Runner Up

Each year Vodafone employees nominate fellow colleagues for the Vodafone Employee Hero Award. This award is given to employees who embrace either one of the Passions that are in essence the guiding principles at Vodafone.

During today's award presentation I was very flattered and proud to realise that my fellow colleague Marcel nominated me, for my participation in the Kilimanjaro Challenge, in the category Passion for the World Around Us.

This category basically identifies employees who are passionate about the world around them, who help those around them to have fuller lives - both through the services that Vodafone provides as well as through the impact we have on the world around us.

Although I am proud of making it to the summit of Kilimanjaro, I am sure that other colleagues must have had other more notable achievements, so even simply being nominated was very flattering......let alone being one of the runner ups!
